Lisa Carroll

Lisa Carroll has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Lisa started their career as an Instructor at Fleming College in 2007 and later worked as a Physiotherapist Assistant at Active Living and Physiotherapy Clinic from 2012 to 2013. In 2013, they pursued a Master's degree in Health: Science, Technology, and Policy at Carleton University while also working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

From 2014 to 2015, Lisa served as a Research Assistant at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, where they contributed to an interdisciplinary team studying environmental toxicant exposures and adverse birth outcomes. Following this, they joined the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2015 as an Educational Strategy Policy Analyst, eventually transitioning to the role of Senior Policy Analyst in 2018.

In 2017, Lisa briefly worked as a Contract Instructor at Carleton University before joining the Canadian Physiotherapy Association in 2020 as the Director of Policy and Research. Lisa later advanced to the position of Senior Director in 2023.

Lisa Carroll has a diverse educational background. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology from Trent University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013.

In addition to their academic degrees, Lisa has also pursued further certifications. In October 2022, they completed the Ivey Emerging Leaders Program at The Ivey Academy, which is part of the Ivey Business School. Furthermore, in July 2022, they obtained a certification in Reconciliation Education from the First Nations University of Canada.
