Matthew Old is a highly experienced professional with a background in policy analysis, education, and communications. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Analyst at CRTC since April 2018, Matthew specializes in international analysis on media and communications, offering strategic advice on broadcasting and telecommunications policies. Additionally, Matthew has been an Editor and Proofreader at Sterling Revision since December 2013, and has experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa, where Matthew focused on undergraduate writing pedagogy. Previous roles include Guest English Teacher in Korea, Sales Manager at Broadhead Brewing Company Limited, and various positions at Elections Canada and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, where Matthew demonstrated expertise in recruitment, media monitoring, and event coordination. Matthew holds a Master's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Ottawa and complementary qualifications in international trade and marketing.
