Michael Ostroff is a legal professional with extensive experience in various legal roles, currently serving as Legal Counsel at the CRTC since October 2022. Prior to this position, Michael provided legal counsel at the Department of Justice Canada in the Ottawa Tax Litigation Section for a brief period in 2022. Earlier roles include Compliance Advisor at the Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner and Lawyer at Dickie & Lyman Lawyers LLP. Additionally, Michael has experience as a Researcher and Editor for the Canadian Federation of Apartment Associations and has worked as a Research Contractor focusing on tax law issues. Michael's legal education includes a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa and completion of the In-Depth Tax Program from CPA Canada. Further studies include a Master's Degree in Classics from McMaster University and a Bachelor's Degree in History from McGill University.
