Thomas Ormerod currently serves as the Manager of Electronic Commerce Enforcement at CRTC, overseeing a team focused on investigations related to Spam, Malware, and Botnets since June 2011. Prior to this role, Thomas worked as a Researcher at the National Cyber-Forensics and Training Alliance of Canada, specializing in Malware analysis and botnets from August 2009 to July 2010. Thomas also has experience as a Software Developer between 2005 and 2009, including positions at Mercurial Communications, Flock, and as an independent developer, providing software solutions and enhancements in various technologies. Thomas holds a Master of Applied Science in Information System Security from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Victoria.
