Melanie Slavitch

Melanie Slavitch has a strong background in academic publishing and peer review management. Melanie currently serves as the Director of Integrity and Engagement at Canadian Science Publishing, a role they have held since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Peer Review Manager at the same company from March 2018 to October 2022. Before joining Canadian Science Publishing, Melanie held the position of Coordinator, Submissions and Peer Review at Joule, a CMA company, from January 2016 to February 2018. Melanie also worked at the Canadian Medical Association as a Coordinator, Submissions and Peer Review from April 2001 to December 2015.

Melanie Slavitch pursued their education in a chronological manner. Melanie first attended Trent University from 1995 to 1999, earning their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English. Later, they enrolled at Oxford Brookes University from 1999 to 2000 to pursue a postgraduate degree. Their field of study during this time was in Publishing.
