Shelley Solomon

Shelley Solomon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in labor relations and member advocacy. Currently serving as a National Representative for the Canadian Union of Public Employees since April 2022, Solomon previously held the position of Labour Relations Officer at The Health Sciences Association of Alberta from January 2006 to April 2022, where responsibilities included collective agreement administration, grievance handling, and collective bargaining negotiations. Solomon has also contributed to organizations such as the Canadian International Development Agency, Heritage Community Foundation, and Canada World Youth, demonstrating a commitment to stakeholder engagement and cross-cultural understanding. Educational credentials include advanced studies in arbitration advocacy and labor relations from Cornell University and Queen's University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Alberta.
