Tim Cook, CM, FRSC, Ph.D., currently serves as a Board Member on the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada since November 2023. Tim has been with the Canadian War Museum since January 2002, holding positions including Chief Historian and Director of Research, as well as Historian. In addition, Tim has served as Series Editor for the Studies in Canadian Military History published by the Canadian War Museum and UBC Press since February 2020, and as Director of Canada's History Society since June 2019. Tim's academic involvement includes an Adjunct Research Professorship at Carleton University from 2005 to August 2018 and previous work as an Archivist at the National Archives of Canada from 1997 to 2002. Tim received a Doctor of Philosophy in History from the Australian Defence Force Academy (2002-2005), a Master’s Degree in War Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada (1995-1996), and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Trent University (1990-1994).
