Michael Lasic

Michael Lasic is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in internal audit and risk management. Since December 2008, Michael has served as Vice President - Deputy Chief Internal Auditor at Canadian Western Bank, overseeing Corporate & Regulatory, Branch & Partner Company Operations and IT Audit Teams. Michael transitioned to the bank's Enterprise Risk Management function in June 2016, focusing on project leadership related to the Advanced Internal Ratings Based transition. In addition to corporate roles, Michael has contributed to the Institute of Internal Auditors - Edmonton in various capacities from 2009 to 2015, including President and board member for key initiatives. Prior to Canadian Western Bank, Michael was a Senior Manager in Forensics at Deloitte Canada, where leadership and project management were central to various financial advisory assignments.
