Lance Crain

Lance Crain has extensive experience in engineering and maintenance roles within the maritime industry. Currently serving as chief engineer at Canal Barge Company since October 2003, Lance Crain is responsible for mechanical and electrical repairs, pre-planned maintenance, and inventory management aboard towing vessels with 3000-6000 hp. Prior to this, Lance Crain worked as a motor operator at Transocean from 1998 to 2003, focusing on the repair and maintenance of power division and accessory equipment on deep water semi-submersible drilling platforms. Earlier in their career, Lance Crain served in the US Navy from 1993 to 1997 as a petty officer 3rd class, acting as assistant shop supervisor at the last remaining working metal pouring foundry in the Navy on a support vessel. Lance Crain is a graduate of Caldwell Parish High School.
