Melanie Townsend

Melanie Townsend is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in compliance and asset management within the water and wastewater sectors. Currently serving as SIRE Supervisor- Asset Management and Barge Maintenance SIRE Supervisor at Canal Barge Company, Inc. since May 2016, Melanie previously held the position of Field Compliance Coordinator at St. Tammany Parish from March 2010 to April 2016, where responsibilities included implementing DHH and DEQ/EPA programs and liaising with developers and engineers. Prior to that, Melanie worked as a Field Compliance Coordinator at Southeastern Louisiana Water & Sewer Co., L. L. C. from May 2004 to March 2010, and started a career as a Compliance Intern. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment from Southeastern Louisiana University (2013-2015) and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a focus on Environmental Science from the same institution (2000-2007).
