Shore Estation Chief Engineer at Canal de Panamá

Abelardo Aguilar has extensive experience in marine engineering, currently serving as Shore Station Chief Engineer at Canal de Panamá since June 2016, with former roles including Tugboat Chief Engineer and Dredger Chief Engineer. Prior to this, Abelardo held the position of Tugboat Chief Engineer at Meyer's Group Panama from December 2012 to June 2016, focusing on maintenance programming and ensuring operational readiness of propulsion and electrical systems. Abelardo's academic background includes a Licenciatura in Ciencias Náuticas with a specialization in Maquinaria Naval from Universidad Maritima Internacional de Panama, alongside additional training as a Boarding Officer and experiences from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
