Pete Horvath has extensive work experience in the banking and analytics industry. Pete began their career as a Mathematical Statistician at the USDA in 2004, before moving on to become a Mathematics Instructor at Finger Lakes Community College in 2005. In 2006, Horvath joined SIGMA Marketing Group as a Statistician until 2008. Pete then transitioned to First Niagara Bank, where they held various roles from 2010 to 2016, including Database Marketing Analyst, Sr. Analyst in Retail Planning, and Sr. Quantitative Analyst in Customer Strategy & Analytics. Horvath continued their career at KeyBank as a Sr. Client Insights Manager in Consumer Payments Analytics from 2016 to 2017. Currently, they are the Market Research & Data Insights Manager at Canandaigua National Bank & Trust, serving as a Vice President.
Pete Horvath has an extensive education history. Pete obtained their BA in Math & History (Double) from Providence College, where they attended from 1998 to 2002. Following that, they pursued further education at Cornell University, where they earned their MS in Statistics from 2002 to 2004. Later, from 2008 to 2010, Pete joined the Doctorate Program at the University at Buffalo to study Geographic Information Science / Geostatistics. Prior to their college experience, Pete completed their high school education at McQuaid Jesuit from 1994 to 1998.
In addition to their academic accomplishments, Pete also holds two certifications from SAS. Pete obtained the SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 certification from SAS in February 2012 and the SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 certification in April 2016.
