Nicolae Paladi

Nicolae Paladi has a diverse work experience in various fields. In 2008, they worked as an Engineering Intern at Klarna. Nicolae then served as a Course Assistant at the University of Gothenburg from 2008 to 2009. After that, they joined Peer Mobile AB as the CEO and Co-Founder, where they developed and marketed a mobile product order solution and acquired corporate clients. In 2009, they started working as a Software Engineer at Klarna AB until 2013.

Later, in 2011, Nicolae Paladi worked as a Master thesis student at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden before becoming a Research Engineer from July 2012 to September 2013. Nicolae also founded Stackflow Security in November 2012 and served as its Founder until May 2021.

From 2013 to 2017, they simultaneously worked as an Industrial PhD student in Cloud Security at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and as a Contributor to the OpenStack project. Nicolae was a key contributor to the Open Infrastructure meetup. Nicolae contributed to several EU H2020 projects and led work packages.

In 2017, Nicolae Paladi served as a Visiting Researcher at Ericsson, focusing on security aspects of content distribution networks, trusted computing, and software-defined networks and cloud. From 2017 to 2021, they held the position of a Senior Research Scientist and Project Manager in Cybersecurity at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden.

In 2018, they joined Lund University as a Researcher and continued until December 2021. Currently, they are the CEO and Co-Founder of CanaryBit, an organization that offers confidential data processing and secure data sharing through advanced cryptography and hardware security techniques in the cloud.

Nicolae Paladi completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Gothenburg from 2006 to 2009. Nicolae then pursued their Master of Science degree in Information Security at Luleå University of Technology from 2010 to 2012. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Engineering - PhD in Computer Science from Lund University, where they were enrolled from 2013 to 2017.
