Mari Kiviluoma

Mari Kiviluoma has extensive work experience in the field of chemistry and research and development. Mari has held various roles at different companies throughout their career.

Starting in 2001, Mari worked part-time as a Calibration Technician at Oxford Instruments during their studies. Mari then joined Alcohol Control Laboratory, Alko Oy / Thermo Fisher Scientific as an R&D Chemist in 2008.

In 2013, Mari transitioned to the role of Technology Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where they provided technical support and project management for environmental and industrial diagnostics products.

Mari then moved on to become a Senior R&D Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, leading teams and collaborating with various departments on projects involving assay development and technical subjects.

Mari continued to progress within the company, taking on the role of Senior R&D Manager, where one of their key responsibilities was leading and developing a team of scientists and laboratory technicians for assay verification and validation. This role also involved strategic planning, expanding the team, planning laboratory infrastructure, and participating in the FDA submission process.

Most recently, Mari joined Canatu Oy as the Head of Chemistry in 2023.

Mari Kiviluoma completed their education at the University of Helsinki from 2000 to 2008, earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Analytical Chemistry.
