Akari Suzuki

Akari Suzuki has a diverse work experience, starting in 2012 as a Volunteer Translator for Global Voices Online. In 2013, they worked as a Melbourne Volunteer Coordinator for the Japanese Film Festival (Australia) and also held the role of Student Union Casual Front Desk Assistant at RMIT University.

From 2013 to 2015, Akari was self-employed as a Japanese Tutor and Freelance Translator, providing services in English to Japanese translation. During this time, they also took on the role of Melbourne Volunteer Coordinator for the Japanese Film Festival in 2014.

In 2014, Akari worked as a Marketing Intern, Marketing Assistant, and later as an Account Executive at doq®. Akari then joined YHA Australia in 2016 as a Digital Marketing Officer, responsible for increasing online sales and brand awareness in Asian markets. Akari later took on the role of Digital Producer, managing end-to-end digital experience projects and supporting the organization's strategic objectives.

In 2021, Akari worked at Tourism Australia as a Digital Producer before transitioning to the Cancer Council Australia, where they currently hold the position of Digital Product Manager.

Akari Suzuki has a strong education history with a focus on communication, advertising, and global studies. In 2008, they began their undergraduate studies at Akita International University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Global Studies in Transnational Studies. During their time at Akita International University, they also took part in a study abroad program at the University of Cyprus in 2010.

After completing their undergraduate degree, Akari continued their education at RMIT University. From 2012 to 2013, they pursued a Master's degree in Communication. Following this, in 2014, they completed another Master's degree in Advertising at the same university.

Aside from their formal education, Akari has also obtained various certifications. In 2018, they completed a Digital Strategy Course and a Web Development Course: Essentials with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript at the Centre for Continuing Education. Akari also received a Business Insight with Google Analytics Course certification in the same year. In 2019, they obtained a certification in Javascript: Introduction, and in 2020, they completed a certification in SQL Essentials from Dynamic Web Training Pty Ltd. Additionally, Akari possesses a New Leader certification from the Australian Institute of Management, which they obtained in August 2022.

Akari's education and certifications demonstrate their dedication to expanding their knowledge and skillset in fields related to advertising, communication, and digital strategy.
