Matt Campbell

Matt Campbell is an experienced health and safety professional, currently serving as the Health and Safety Lead at Cancer Council Queensland since July 2023. Previously, Campbell held similar positions at Wellington Zoo and worked as a Health and Wellbeing Advisor at WorkSafe New Zealand, where responsibilities included organizing initiatives for mental health awareness and engaging stakeholders. Earlier experience includes serving as a Health and Safety Advisor for Government Health and Safety Lead NZ, focusing on system capabilities and cross-sector relationships. Additionally, Campbell has a background in youth coordination and event management within the barbershop singing community as President and National Youth Coordinator for Young Singers in Harmony. Prior roles also include emergency communication with NZ Police and site coordination with Telecom New Zealand. Matt Campbell holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Occupational Safety and Health from Massey University.
