Cynthia Neben, PhD, currently serves as Chief of Staff at the Cancer Research Institute, having joined in March 2025. Prior to this role, Cynthia was Senior Manager of Clinical Research & Scientific Affairs at Color from January 2018 to March 2025, where leadership involved overseeing scientific teams in cancer screening and treatment initiatives, managing cross-functional projects for returning genetics results to over one million participants, and guiding research strategies. Previous positions include Manager of Research Operations & Program Management at Color, Principal Scientist contributing to NIH research awards, and Postdoctoral Fellow at UCSF investigating cellular functions in developmental biology. Cynthia holds a PhD in Medical Biology from the University of Southern California and a BS in Biological Sciences from Chapman University.
