Marc Pittman

Marc Pittman is a seasoned professional in the field of oncology research and drug development, currently serving as the Drug Development Senior Research Manager at Cancer Research UK since June 2015. In this role, Marc leads a team of project leaders focused on advancing a portfolio of Phase I clinical assets, building on previous experience as a Project Lead in Phase I drug development and Senior Research Funding Manager, where Marc identified oncology research opportunities within the UK. Prior to this, Marc held various positions at Cancer Research Technology, including Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist, and began an academic career with postdoctoral roles at Cancer Research UK and The University of Sheffield, following a PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology from The University of Sheffield and a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry & Microbiology from the University of Liverpool.
