Faraj Aalaei is an accomplished technology executive with a diverse background spanning over three decades in the semiconductor and networking industries. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of a stealth startup since April 2024, Faraj Aalaei has been a Founding General Partner at Candou Ventures since July 2016. Previously, Faraj held the position of Executive Vice President at Marvell Semiconductor, where oversight included the Networking and Automotive business following the acquisition of Aquantia. As President and CEO of Aquantia from 2009 to 2019, Faraj Aalaei led the company through significant growth. Notable earlier roles include Founder and CEO of Centillium Communications, Director of Access Product Planning at Fujitsu Network Communications, and various engineering positions at AT&T Bell Laboratory and M/A-COM. Faraj Aalaei holds an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology, an MBA from UNH Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
