Lannan O'Brien has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. In 2011, they started as a Production Intern at Pearson Learning Solutions. Lannan then worked as a Writing Intern at My Secret Boston and later as a Marketing and Public Relations Intern at the Cambridge Arts Council in 2012. In 2013, Lannan joined Falmouth Publishing, Inc. as a General News Reporter, covering various beats and local government. From 2011 to 2013, they also served as the Editor-in-Chief, Writer, and Photographer for The Hub newspaper.

In 2016, Lannan joined Lighthouse Media Solutions, where they took on multiple roles. As the Editor of Falmouth Magazine, they contributed to its content. Lannan O'Brien completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English, Communication, and Media Studies at Emmanuel College (Boston) from 2009 to 2013.
