M. Scott Maguire MBA has held a variety of roles in the healthcare sector since 1985. M. Scott began their career as a Graduate Analyst at Merrill Lynch. In 1993, they became Senior International Business Development Manager at National Medical Care, where they managed financial and legal relations for a US$multi-billion merger with Fresenius. In 1996, they were appointed Director of Corporate Finance at Arthur Andersen & Co., where they assembled operations for a start-up Healthcare Corporate Finance practice. In 2001, they co-founded Healthcare Capital Partners Limited, a Corporate Finance & M&A boutique focused towards the healthcare sector. In 2004, they became Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Xenetic Biosciences, Inc., where they evolved the business from start-up, managing clinical development in the US, EU & other countries to develop 200+ granted patent and global Phase 2 clinical trials. In 2007, they co-founded RENAL SERVICES (UK) LIMITED and led fund raising initiatives to grow the business to be the second largest private provider of dialysis services in the UK. In 2018, they became Chairman of Santersus and in 2019, they became Co-Founder and Board Member of Cannaray Limited.

M. Scott Maguire MBA obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business between 1991 and 1993.
