Ini Afia

Ini Afia is the Chief Science Officer at CannaSafe. He earned his M.S. and B.S. at the renowned University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ini draws on more than 17 years of leadership experience in the microbiological and analytical chemistry fields, and his work spans across the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and cannabis industries. Ini’s work has been instrumental in the cannabis analytical space, having successfully set up multiple labs with best-in-class methodology, processes, and technology. As CSO, Ini has led CannaSafe toward greater credibility, consistency, and accountability for our clients, regulators, and consumers. He ensures CannaSafe’s developed and validated methodologies are not only robust and efficient, but also developed with consumer safety as a guiding principle. Ini is determined to lead CannaSafe’s to the position of premier cannabis lab in the world. 

Ini is also a member of the ASTM D37 Technical Committee on Cannabis and a Scientific Committee member of both the Emerald Conference and the CannMed Conferences.
