Brian Westhoff

Brian Westhoff, CFA, joined Aegon USA Investment Management, LLC (AUIM) and its affiliates in 2011 after working at Transamerica Investment Management, LLC, (TIM), an affiliate of AUIM, since 2003. Brian is a Portfolio Manager for core plus, core aggregate, and government/corporate fixed income strategies, and serves as a Co-Portfolio Manager for the emerging market and corporate strategies. Prior to joining TIM, Brian worked as an equity research intern with Credit Suisse Asset Management in London, a fixed income investment analyst at St. Paul Companies, and an Argentine oil-and-gas equity research intern with Merrill Lynch in Argentina. Brian has 18 years of industry experience and 12 years of experience with AUIM and its affiliates. Brian received his BS in business administration from Drake University, his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Brian is the lead portfolio manager for Canoe Global Income Fund/Class.

Aegon USA Investment Management, LLC (AUIM) is a sub-advisor to Aegon Capital Management Inc., which is the registered portfolio manager for Canoe Global Income Fund. AUIM acts as an unregistered sub-advisor to Canoe Global Income Fund further to relief granted in December 2012 by the Alberta Securities Commission.
