James Furney has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. James began their career at T-Mobile as an Account Manager, where they provided customer support and upsold products. Later, they joined WatchGuard Technologies, first as an Account Manager managing renewals and fostering partner relationships, and then in Sales Operations, where they worked with distributors and processed sales orders.
In 2019, James joined Yapta as a Channel Account Manager, responsible for managing reseller partners and driving revenue growth. Yapta was later acquired by Coupa Software, where they continued their role as an Alliance Channel Account Manager. James also briefly worked as an Enterprise Inside Sales representative at Coupa Software, focusing on net-new prospecting into large accounts.
Currently, James is employed at Canoe as a Commercial Operations Manager. In this role, they oversee various aspects of business operations, including legal coordination, commercial contracting, client due diligence, executive reporting, and sales tools. James also implemented and administers the Salesforce CRM system and integrates it with other systems.
Throughout their career, James has demonstrated strong skills in relationship management, customer service, and sales operations.
James Furney obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics of Business from Western Washington University. In addition to their degree, they also obtained a certification in the Sandler Sales Methodology from Sandler Training in June 2018.
