Ijlal Loutfi

Ijlal Loutfi is a knowledgeable professional in the field of computer science, currently serving as Product Lead for Ubuntu Platform Security at Canonical since April 2022. Loutfi manages a comprehensive portfolio focused on confidential computing, Apparmor, and platform security, encompassing all aspects from engineering to marketing. As a Technical Founder at Fitrayti since March 2017, Loutfi has also contributed significantly to industry research as a Senior ICT Researcher at Norsk Regnesentral and in postdoctoral research at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Previous roles include senior lecturer at the University of Oslo, visiting researcher at HP, and enterprise services consultant at Microsoft. Loutfi holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Oslo, alongside a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networks and Computer Science, respectively, from Al Akhawayn University.
