Vimal Mishra

Vimal Mishra has a diverse range of work experience. Vimal currently works as a Principal Product Owner at Genesis Global, where they lead product development for a large Fixed Income pre-trade data provider. In this role, they handle high volume, low latency FIX messages for Bonds and single name CDSs, as well as offers real-time analytics capabilities to end users.

Prior to their current position, Vimal worked as a Vice President at NatWest, where they led Counterparty Credit Risk IT for the ring-fenced entity. During their time there, they worked on implementing various counterparty credit risk measures using the Murex platform.

Before joining NatWest, Vimal held multiple roles at Standard Chartered Bank, including Vice President - Financial Markets Change, Associate Vice President, and Senior Manager. Vimal also worked as a Senior Business Analyst at Societe Generale Global Solutions Center, where they focused on Risk Management of International Trade Financing.

Earlier in their career, Vimal prepared for the Indian Civil Services Exam and worked as a Business Analyst at Societe Generale Global Solution Centre, where they implemented a provision calculation solution for credit risk management. Vimal also worked as a Derivative Trader at GH Financials, trading in the Interest Rate Futures Market, and as a Manager - Technical at CEAT Limited.

Vimal Mishra has a B Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. Vimal also has a Certification in Trade Finance from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance in 2012. Furthermore, they completed the Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET - Dec 2013 Exam) at the Institute of Actuaries of India in the same year. Vimal Mishra also holds a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) degree in Risk Management from GARP, obtained in 2013. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in 2018.
