Timo Aaltonen

Timo Aaltonen is an experienced engineer and CEO with a diverse background in software and hardware enablement. Since February 2011, Timo has held senior engineering roles at Canonical, focusing on development and OEM kernel enablement. Timo has also been a core developer and archive administrator for Ubuntu Linux since March 2007 and a Debian Developer since July 2014, co-maintaining X.org packages and managing several important projects including 389 Directory Server and FreeIPA. Additionally, Timo has served as CEO of ProgWave Oy and was a systems specialist at Aalto University IT from May 2001 to January 2011, where responsibilities included maintaining Linux workstations and various server environments. Timo holds a Master of Science degree from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, earned between 1997 and 2010.
