Bashar Khasawneh

Bashar Khasawneh, Ph.D., currently serves as the Director of Battery System Engineering at Canoo since July 2021, after holding the position of Senior Manager for HV Battery Systems. Prior experience includes managerial roles at Stellantis and FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, overseeing power inverter modules and development and validation of electrified powertrains, respectively. Bashar contributed to Ford Motor Company for a decade in various engineering roles related to hybrid systems and high-voltage battery systems. Earlier career experience includes a position as Technical Project Leader at Continental and as an Electrical Engineer at TRW. Bashar Khasawneh earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oakland University, complemented by Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Akron.
