Colin Childs

Colin Childs has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and education. Colin started their career at Brigham Young University as an Imaging Specialist in 2009 and later became a Teacher's Assistant, helping students understand introductory Computer Science concepts and assisting professors in developing course assignments and projects. In 2011, they joined CleanTelligent Software as a Software Developer, where they were responsible for web development using Java, Struts, PostgreSQL, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS. Colin also led mobile app development for iOS, Android, and BlackBerry devices using Adobe AIR and Flex. Colin then progressed to the role of Assistant Programming Manager in 2013, where they continued their involvement in web and mobile app development. From 2016 to 2018, Colin served as the Programming Manager at CleanTelligent Software. In 2018, they joined Canopy as a Senior Java Developer and later became the Technical Lead. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Backend Engineering at Canopy.

Colin Childs obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their degree, they also obtained a certification in Duolingo Portuguese Fluency: Advanced (Estimated) from Duolingo in February 2016.
