Backend Software Enginner at Canopy

Hannah DuBois has a diverse work experience in various roles. Hannah began their career as a Computer Center Coordinator at the University of Minnesota, maintaining a computer lab and providing technology assistance. In addition, they worked as a Videographer, editing videos and capturing photographs for Housing and Residential Life events.

During their time at iD Tech Camps, Hannah served as an Instructor, teaching Minecraft modding and programming courses to students of different age groups. Hannah helped students create unique packages and classes using Java, integrating their programs into Minecraft and adding custom properties.

As an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota, Hannah tackled complex computational problems and conducted weekly labs, office hours, and grading. Hannah also worked as a Research Assistant during this time.

Hannah gained industry experience at The Climate Corporation, where they interned as a Backend Software Engineering Intern, focusing on creating backend web services for a REST API.

Hannah then joined Tata Consultancy Services as a Software Engineer, contributing to software development projects.

Most recently, Hannah worked at Jewelry Television as a Software Engineer, primarily specializing in backend development using Java, Spring framework, API-gateway, plsql, and MySQL. Hannah also utilized agile processes such as Jira tracking and participated in various project management activities.

Currently, Hannah is working as a Backend Software Engineer at Canopy, starting in 2022.

Hannah DuBois completed their education at the University of Minnesota from 2016 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Prior to attending university, they graduated from Whitefish Bay High School in 2016 with a diploma. In addition to their formal education, Hannah also obtained several certifications, including Water Safety Instructor, AED, CPR PRO, and Lifeguard, all from the American Red Cross, with various completion dates between 2014 and 2015.
