Mike van Stone

Mike Van Stone, CISSP, CPA, CISA has extensive work experience in the field of internal audit and financial management. Mike has held leadership positions in various companies, including Cantaloupe Inc, Neenah, Ionic Security, McKesson, Brink's, and Deloitte.

At Cantaloupe Inc, Mike served as the VP of Internal Audit and Senior Director of Internal Audit, where they established the company's internal audit department and partnered with the executive team on risk assessment and future projects.

During their time at Neenah, Mike held the positions of Internal Audit Senior Director and Internal Audit Director. Mike reduced department expenses while maintaining audit quality, led the integration of a newly acquired business in Spain and Mexico, and created a five-year vision for audit resources and processes.

At Ionic Security, Mike was the Internal Audit Senior Director and Internal Audit Director. Mike established and managed the internal audit department, aligned the annual audit plan with risk assessment results, and obtained various certifications for the company.

During their tenure at McKesson, Mike served as the Internal Audit Senior Manager, Internal Audit Manager, Financial Reporting Manager, and Manager-Risk Control Group. Mike managed multiple audits, developed effective business relationships, mentored integrated teams, and implemented Sarbanes Oxley initiatives.

Mike began their career at Brink's as the International Financial Reporting Manager and Senior Financial Analyst. Mike performed worldwide financial reporting and served as the primary contact for the insurance subsidiary. Mike also held the role of Internal Audit Supervisor and Audit Supervising Senior, where they conducted risk assessments and managed ethics and compliance questionnaires.

Mike started their career at Deloitte as an Audit Senior Accountant and In-charge Accountant. Mike gained valuable experience in auditing during this time.

Prior to Deloitte, Mike worked as an Auditor at the Auditor of Public Accounts.

Mike Van Stone, CISSP, CPA, CISA, graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.S.B.A in Accounting (Spanish Minor) in 1996. Mike also attended LaSalle College High School for their high school education. In addition to their degrees, they obtained the certifications of CISSP from (ISC)² in 2016, Six Sigma Yellow Belt from McKesson in 2013, Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) from ISACA in 2012, and CPA from the Board of Accountancy in 1997.
