Annika Sanfridson

Principal Scientist at Cantargia

Annika Sanfridson has been working in the scientific field since 1999. Annika began their career at AstraZeneca R&D where they held the roles of Project Leader Discovery and Team Leader Protein Science from 1999 to 2005. Annika then moved up to the role of Associate Director Cell and Molecular Biology from 2005 to 2010. After that, they acted as Director of Biosciences from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, they moved to Novo Nordisk A/S as Head of Diabetes NBEs and Obesity Biology. In 2014, they joined Novo Nordisk as Research Project Director and currently works at Cantargia AB as Principal Scientist since 2020.

Annika Sanfridson obtained their BA in Biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania between 1986 and 1988. Annika then went on to pursue a PhD program in Biochemistry at Dartmouth College from 1988 to 1991. Finally, they completed their PhD in Immunology at Duke University from 1991 to 1995.
