Andrew McCombie

Andrew McCombie has a robust academic and research background, currently serving as an Honorary Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Surgery at the University of Otago since January 2015. Promoted from an Honorary Research Fellow, Andrew has contributed to various studies, including the quality of life in bowel cancer patients and mindfulness, as well as managing the IBDsmart study. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Officer and Data Analyst at the Canterbury District Health Board, where Andrew manages surgical research projects and data analysis. Additionally, experience includes operations management for the New Zealand Electoral Commission and a PhD from the University of Otago, complemented by earlier education at St Bede's College.
