Cathy Yamashita

Cathy Yamashita is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in distressed, high yield, and loan sales. Currently serving as Managing Director at Cantor Fitzgerald since December 2020, Cathy previously held the same title at Deutsche Bank Securities and Bank of America from June 2008 to March 2013 and January 2005 to March 2008, respectively. Earlier career roles include Director at Société Générale, where Cathy originated and structured corporate finance transactions and worked in asset recovery, and Vice President at BankBoston. Cathy began a career in finance as Regional Manager for Latin America & Caribbean at Overseas Private Investment Corp. Cathy holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics and International Development from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Tufts University.
