Fatemeh Azimi

Fatemeh Azimi is a Senior Applied Scientist at Canva, specializing in computer vision and machine learning. Previously, Fatemeh contributed to the Perception Team at Torc Robotics, focusing on 2D/3D object detection and tracking for autonomous vehicles. Fatemeh earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Kaiserslautern, where research included advanced methods for video object segmentation and multi-object tracking. With experience as an intern at Adobe and Algolux, as well as roles at research institutions, Fatemeh has developed expertise in designing and optimizing algorithms for real-time applications. Fatemeh holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University and a Bachelor's degree from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
