Husain Zaidi

Husain Zaidi has had a varied work experience since 2016. Husain has worked as an Architecture Intern at HKS, Inc. Delhi Office, a Summer Intern at Niveda Foundation, a LIK Coordinator, UOW Trophy Coordinator, GRIHA Coordinator and ANDC Coordinator at the National Association of Students of Architecture, a Deligate at EASA Denmark, a UX Designer at InstaGlasses, a Product Designer at Finneo and a Product Designer at Canvass AI. Additionally, they have been an Assistant Instructor - UX / UI at the University of Toronto since 2021. During their time at HKS, Inc. they assisted with facade and interior design on Apollo Proton therapy centre. At the National Association of Students of Architecture they coordinated the 'University of Westminster' trophy for 59th Annual NASA Convention, winning the 'Special Mention' trophy at 2nd position. Husain also worked at the site for 3 months, transforming an abandoned land into a playground for underprivileged children, using only waste materials. At Niveda Foundation they worked closely with chief trustee Sindhu Ravi, on welfare of women and children; assisting with NGO’s mobile health and dental checkup, restoring a disfunded government elementary school and designing flyers, posters, and banners for the organizational events. At InstaGlasses they designed and innovated AR interface for an e-commerce iOS app and used analytics tools to make data informed design decisions to meet business goals such as reducing abandonment rate by 70%. At Finneo they experienced designing B2B SaaS product and drove product strategy to achieve business goals like addressing new market segment, customer acquisition rate. At Dropisle they joined the growing team of a young startup and helped the team with adding more features to their MVP model of the iOS app.

Husain Zaidi has a diverse educational background. Husain obtained a Bachelor of Architecture - B.Arch from Amity University in 2017, after studying Architecture from 2012 to 2017. Husain then went on to pursue a Post Graduate Certificate in User Experience Design from Humber College in 2019, and is currently completing a Master's degree in Digital Experience Innovation at the University of Waterloo, which they are expected to finish in 2021. Additionally, they hold a WELL Accredit Professional certification from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), which they obtained in December 2017.
