Matt Spears

Matt Spears is an experienced educator currently serving as a 6th Grade Science, Social Studies, and Health Teacher at Canyon Independent School District since August 2022. Prior to this role, Matt has been a 7th Grade Science Teacher at Canyon Junior High since August 2013, focusing on Texas 7th grade science standards. Matt's professional background includes significant experience in sales and management with Nationwide Insurance, where roles included Sales Manager, Regional Affinity Account Executive, and Performance Improvement and Training Manager from 1997 to 2011. Matt holds a Master's Degree in Teaching from West Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science and Mathematics from the University of Wyoming.
