Yifan Sun, ARM

Yifan Sun has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry, specializing in business intelligence and catastrophe modeling. They currently hold the position of Director of Business Intelligence at CAPE Analytics, starting in April 2022. Before joining CAPE Analytics, Yifan worked at Allstate, where they held various roles. From December 2020 to April 2022, they served as a Business Intelligence Associate Manager. Prior to that, from March 2020 to December 2020, Yifan worked as a Catastrophe Modeling Associate Manager at Allstate. They also held the position of Catastrophe Modeling Senior Consultant at Allstate from May 2017 to March 2020. Earlier in their career, Yifan worked as a Natural Catastrophe Modeler at SCOR from March 2015 to May 2017. Their work experience at Allstate began in June 2013 as a Catastrophe Modeling Senior Analyst, and they held this role until March 2015.

Yifan Sun received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Actuarial Science and Applied Statistics from Purdue University, where they studied from 2008 to 2013. In 2015, Yifan obtained the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) certification from The Institutes. Yifan then pursued a Master's Degree in Information and Data Science at the University of California, Berkeley from 2016 to 2018.
