Yamirah Newsome is a 2nd grade teacher at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools. Prior to this role, Yamirah worked as a Care Manager at Cape Atlantic INK. Yamirah also has experience as a Child Care Counselor at Bonnie Brae and as a Servant Leader Intern at Children's Defense Fund. Newsome holds a Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts in Family & Child Studies from Montclair State University.
