Edmund Jeneker

Edmund Jeneker joined the CPO Board in December 2017. A keen supporter of the arts, especially music, he has for many years been active in sponsorship and activities, seeing good governance as a way to help create a better society.

He has wide-ranging business executive and board experience, having served as Managing Executive at Absa Bank/Barclays Africa, and with Deloitte, World Bank Competitiveness Fund, and SwissReSA. He served as a director on the boards of several companies in the Absa Group and currently serves on the board of DRDGold, on the Investment Committee of BADISA Social Welfare for Elderly and Children, and on the Regional Advisory board of the Institute of Directors SA. Having matriculated in Athlone, he graduated with a B Hons in Public Governance at Stellenbosch University and also undertook studies at several institutions in Spain, London, and Uganda as well as Wits University and the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Mr. Jeneker is a Chartered Director (SA) and specializes in Public and Corporate Governance advisory disciplines.
