Bernard Maher

Bernard Maher is an experienced retail professional currently serving as the Retail Store Manager at Cape Union Mart Group since February 2022, responsible for managing stock, staffing, and expenses in an outdoor active lifestyle retail business. Previously, Bernard was an Entrepreneur and Business Owner at Uncle Sam's Kitchen (Pty) Ltd from February 2020 to September 2022, where a small home-based operation transformed into a coffee shop with a retail component and art gallery, expanding to include live entertainment. Bernard also accumulated significant experience at TFG (The Foschini Group) over 11 years as a Senior Planner, focusing on jewellery product planning and developing a Branch Planning department for prominent jewellery chains. Prior to TFG, Bernard worked as a Specialist Planner for Edcon from 2004 to 2007, specializing in housewares and related products. Education was completed at Sacred Heart College in Observatory, Johannesburg.
