Joshua Stanley

Dr. Joshua Stanley serves as dean for the School of Counseling and Human Services at Capella University. Prior to this role, he served as interim assistant dean for the counselor education and family therapy programs and faculty chair for school counseling and addiction studies. He has also served as core faculty in the counselor education program specializing in school counseling. Before coming to Capella in 2014, Dr. Stanley held a number of positions in K-12 education, including serving as an elementary school counselor, secondary school counselor, school counseling program specialist, and finally as coordinator of high school intervention and transition services with the Tennessee Department of Education.
