Valerie Mills, PhD, serves as a Cyber Security Instructor at Capella University since September 2014, focusing on cybersecurity concepts in both Master's and Bachelor's programs. With earlier experience as an Independent Contractor from November 2005 to October 2010, Valerie assisted with IT and security-related issues. Additionally, Valerie coordinated operations for forensics conventions in Georgia and South Carolina from 2003 to 2010 and has been involved with the HTCIA and the forensics community during the same period. As an Independent Owner at Reliv International from 2003 to 2007 and a Senior Analyst in Application Hosting at SITA from 1996 to 2002, Valerie has built a diverse background in IT. Valerie holds a PhD in Information Assurance and CyberSecurity from Capella University, a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Auburn University, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from LaGrange College.
