Ryan Burris

Ryan Burris is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Chief Communications and Public Engagement Officer for CUSD since July 2015. In this role, Ryan provides strategic communication support to the Superintendent, Board of Trustees, and district leadership, focusing on effective engagement with over 47,000 students and the community. Prior to this position, Ryan held significant roles, including Chief Relationship Officer at Orange County Rescue Mission, where responsibilities involved managing relationships with stakeholders, and Manager of Government Relations for the Orange County Sheriff's Department, representing the Sheriff's Office on various operational and budgetary issues. Ryan's career also includes experience at The Walt Disney Company, managing communications for guest relations. Ryan holds degrees in English, English Literature, Business, Marketing, and Public Relations from California State University, Fullerton and Luzerne County Community College.
