Carissa Cano

Carissa Cano is a member of the Board of Directors at Austin IN Connection and also works as a Clinical Partner at Capital Area Counseling. As a Psychotherapist in Private Practice for their self-owned business, Carissa provides counseling for individuals, couples, and adolescents. With experience as a group facilitator at various organizations, Carissa has also worked as a counseling intern at the Affair Recovery Center and a therapeutic mentor at College Living Experience. In addition to their work in the mental health field, Carissa previously managed franchise restaurants as an Operating Partner at Pizza Effects, LLP. Carissa holds a LPC degree in Psychology from St. Edward's University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology at Saybrook University.
