María Ponce is a BIA Accredited Representative at Capital Area Immigrants' Rights (CAIR) Coalition since July 2023. Previously, María has worked as a Legal Graduate at Seton Hall University School of Law and as a Clinical Law Student at Rutgers Law School Immigrant Rights Clinic. Their experience includes providing legal representation to immigrant communities and conducting legal research to further policy initiatives at various organizations such as Justice In Motion and Volunteer Lawyers for Justice. María also has a background in education, serving as an Assistant Director at Montessori Schoolhouse. Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies and Mexican American Studies from The University of Texas at Austin.
