Jan Ross is a board member at Capital Area United Way and a former senior vice president at BBC Worldwide Learning. Jan launched the BBC Worldwide Learning division and grew it to scale, strategically positioning Global News and Premier Programming, CBS News, including signature brands 60 MINUTES and Sunday Morning short and long form video content collections for licensing and distribution.
Ross led sales and marketing teams that surpassed annual growth results against financial targets and budgets, managed product plans for online collaborative platform for clients, established a best-in-class production environment, sourced content partners and nurtured strategic partnership relations at top enterprise levels. Jan also structured an exclusive partnership deal with CBS News for licensing and distribution.
Ross won large, long-term, strategic accounts with top educational publishers, including Cengage, Pearson, Discovery, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, McGraw-Hill Education, Worth, Macmillan and Wiley. Jan also led brand strategy and managed product roadmap to the 2013 launch of the BBC Worldwide Learning website (www.bbcworldwidelearning.com).
Jan Ross attended the University of California, Los Angeles where they obtained a BA in Graphic Design.
