Jim Carlin

Jim Carlin has extensive work experience in the banking industry, spanning over several decades. Jim began their career in 1982 as a First Vice President at Surburban Trust, BOA, and remained in this role until 1990. Carlin then served as a Vice President at First National Bank of Maryland from 1990 to 1996. Following this, they worked as a Vice President at Crestar Bank from 1996 to 2000. Carlin then joined Chinatrust Bank as a Vice President from 2000 to 2003. Currently, they are a Senior Vice President at Capital Bank, N.A., a position they have held since 2003. In their current role, Carlin focuses on commercial real estate lending, residential construction loans, as well as other loan types such as lines of credit and term equipment loans.

Jim Carlin attended Northwestern University from 1976 to 1978 for graduate work, but did not complete a degree or specify a field of study. Jim later attended the University of Maryland, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics.
