Rani Begum has extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Rani currently holds the position of Head of HR Operations at Capital City College Group, starting in July 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Human Resources Manager at Newham College of Further Education from May 2021 to July 2023. Rani also served as the Group Human Resources Manager at University Schools Trust from 2014 to 2021. Earlier in their career, they held the role of Human Resources Manager at Redbridge College from 2011 to 2013, and as an HR Advisor & Business Partner at Tower Hamlets College from 2001 to 2011.
Rani Begum pursued a BSc/BA HONOURS degree in Psychology & English Literature from London South Bank University. Following that, they obtained a CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from the University of Greenwich from 2002 to 2005. In terms of certifications, Rani obtained a DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead) from Catherine Rushforth & Associates Limited in June 2021, and they also completed CIPD Level 7 from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in 2005.
