David Oxley

Chief Climate & Commodities Economist at Capital Economics

David Oxley is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in climate and economic analysis. Currently serving as Chief Climate & Commodities Economist at Capital Economics since February 2019, David also holds the positions of Head of Climate Economics and Senior Europe Economist, specializing in the Nordic and Swiss economies. Prior positions include Senior Economist at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) from June 2014 to 2019, Senior Analyst at New Zealand Treasury from July 2011 to May 2014, and Emerging Markets Economist at Capital Economics from June 2009 to June 2011. David began a career as an Economist at Oxford Economics from September 2007 to June 2009. David holds a Master of Science in Economics from University College London and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Queen Mary University of London.
